Upcoming Drinking Liberally events
Update: Note the change!
On Monday night, October 15th, there will be a presentation and forum on the voter restrictions amendment at the Drinking Liberally chapter in Hopkins. The meeting begins at 6:30 PM, and the forum, led by me, will begin at seven. You can find the address at the link.
Then on Tuesday, October 16th, you have a couple of choices of places (there are probably more, but one of these is the one you want to go to; trust me) to watch the presidential “town hall” debate.
AM 950, the station that airs the LeftMN Radio Hour, is hosting a debate party at the Park Tavern in St. Louis Park.
Or, you can come to the Amsterdam Bar and Hall in St. Paul, where the Drinking Liberally Minneapolis regulars will be camped out in front of the big screen. Our meeting starts at seven, with some remarks by Carrie Lucking of the Alliance for a Better Minnesota and the A Better Legislature campaign around 7:30, followed by the debate at eight.
Update: We regret that due to a scheduling conflict at the Amsterdam, we cannot offer Carrie Lucking as a speaker. The bar will still be televising the debate at eight.
Thanks for your feedback. If we like what you have to say, it may appear in a future post of reader reactions.
