Twenty Point Shortridge succeeded by Thirty Points Downey!
As announced by the herald trumpets, or one herald trumpet anyway, Keith Downey has been anointed as the new chair of the Republican Party.

In choosing their new man, the RPM chose a fellow with keen enough political instincts to lead the charge in endorsing Kurt Bills for a run for the U.S. Senate, and serving as his campaign co-chair. Kurt and Keith rode in the handbasket together in November.
The RPM picked the only guy who helped a Senate candidate lose bigger than Shortridge did. (Kennedy: 20 points; Bills: 30 points)
Hearty congratulations all around!
PS – John, check your watch.
