Two clownish vassals support the felon king
Two spittle-flecked Minnesota Congress Clowns, Tom Emmer and Pete Stauber, voiced their support for 34-time convicted felon Donald Trump. Hardly a surprise, but still worth making fun of. One might reserve special contempt — I do — for the ovoid sorehead Tom Emmer, the Majority Whip who couldn’t whip cream. Trump brags that he killed Emmer’s hours-long bid (thank you, Patrick Coolican) to become Speaker of the House after Kevin McCarthy’s defenestration. He wasn’t loyal enough to me, said Trump, since Emmer voted to certify the 2020 presidential election.
Emmer has since endorsed the felonious Trump and says of the trial, “Democrats just pulled off the biggest sham in U.S. history.” Stauber, who has also endorsed the felon and adjudged rapist Trump, chimes in, “This trial was rigged from the start in a desperate attempt to keep Donald Trump off the campaign trail and out of the White House.” Twelve ordinary New Yorkers, including one who said he got all of his news from Trump’s Truth Social (which is neither), voted to convict Trump on 34 counts of fraud and election finance law violations.
It would be fun to put these two clowns (a legal term of art here) under oath in a sweaty deposition room and examine them about the evidentiary foundations for these statements. It wouldn’t go well for them, just as Trump’s bluster and prevarication outside the courtroom didn’t help him, either.
